ConsultAbility provides consultations, advice, and expertise on accessibility in theatre, focusing on creating a safe and inclusive environment for all disabled theater artists.

Mission: Our mission is to work with theatrical institutions and educational programs to create more accessible and inclusive programming and training for disabled artists, bridging the gap between what is required and what is desired when working with disabled artists in the theatrical world. We lead trainings and workshops to combat ableism in theatre, as well as assess your theatre for physical access barriers. We will then give you solutions and answer your questions about disability inclusion.

Vision: To create a network of disabled artists, inclusive/accessible theatre institutions, and disability-inclusive education programs. Creating spaces where disabled artists can thrive without having to self-advocate.

I can’t recommend Consultability more highly. The experienced and generous team lead with generosity, skill, and passion. Paul, Jenna, and their colleagues create a dynamic environment that invited us all at MRT to look at our practices anew. We are so honored to partner with them on our journey to make MRT more accessible and inclusive.
